Beach House Blog

Created by Kayla Cole

It is no secret I love pretty homes with pretty art! Working on projects with designers and clients is my JAM and why I started Christenberry Collection. When a client asked me to help with her beach house in Litchfield, South Carolina I was super excited {to say the least}!
We started in the master bedroom with Oyster art over the bed by Cynthia Huston. Oysters are a symbol of a great beach weekend in South Carolina and because of this we had to incorporate Oyster art first.

We felt passionate about keeping the color palette and beach vibe going in the master bedroom which lead us to this beautiful Braden Grafe pelican piece. Braden is a Christenberry Collection artist who has a coastal flare to her work.

When it came to the master bath, we knew we wanted to connect the bedroom feel into the bathroom and oyster inspiration was the answer. Amy Dixon had the perfect vision for the oyster art need in the master bath. Amy is a Louisiana artist that we felt was perfect for this space in the beach house.

The guest bedroom was a dream to curate with more Braden Grafe! Braden knows how to paint sea gulls in a way that makes you feel like you are at the beach even if you aren't looking out the window!

In the guest bathroom we leaned on Pam Wingard to give us the most brilliant coastal piece to create a welcoming feeling for guests who may be beaching at this house. Pam Wingard knows how to bring colors to life and we knew we HAD to have her in this home!

The main area of this home was beautiful even without the final touches, but when we installed this newly framed Jenny Moss above the couch we were blown away with how well it pulled the home together.

The final piece we installed was an Ann Schwartz beach umbrella piece in the kitchen area. A reminder that sometimes we rest in the shade even at the beach!

We installed the last piece the week that our communities closed down for the COVID-19 Pandemic. I am so glad we were able to finish this project prior to quarantine and I am even more excited I get to share it with you now! I am so grateful for this amazing client.
STAY TUNED for a blog post coming soon with details on this same clients home in Brevard, North Carolina. We recently collaborated with Christy Edens with Verve to curate and design her mountain home.
