Joanna Clinkscales
Born in South Carolina, Joanna studied painting first at Converse College and later in Tuscany. It was in there that she discovered a love of natural light and its interplay with color in the landscape. Her works are characterized by subtle hues, warm light, organic movement, and peaceful settings. Joanna is often inspired by bits of nature her children bring to her studio and by her memory of the Carolina countryside. Joanna lives with her husband and four children in eastern Tennessee.
